Finally I am getting my act together somewhat! With Chris and His crushed wrist (and yes thank you for all the support) it has been a really tough month. But in typical Loehr style...we keep going.
Now the sessions I am posting are for Kids. It is possible you can sneak a small family into the extended blue bonnet session. But I will be honest...its not always easy to get that steller photo of a large family with small kids in a flowerbed with possible ants!! Obviously the best times for larger familes is EARLY or LATE. You know I can pretty much shoot anytime of the day, but it always makes it much easier on you and maybe me if the lighting is good. Also, not always does a full sunny day make the best photos. I particularly like thin clouds as they give me the softest light! (insert ADD moment) and thinking of ANTS...I am going to say...if you do not wear boots you are going to run the risk of ant bites. USUALLY, it is the photographer who will attract the ants, but I just want to warn you! COLORS...I like bright colors. But maybe you always wanted that Traditional White shirt bluebonnet shot. In the end...its your photo...so wear what you like. BUT DON'T BLAME me if you don't like it in the end (insert laugh). Personally I like bright colors. Orange and yellow contrast well. Bright pink. Patterns are ok. STUFF...like props. Most likely your one year old will want to hold or play with something. Or maybe you have a fun chair, Bring it. Hmmm... well I guess those are my bluebonnet observations after living in Texas for 9+ years.
LOCATIONS: I normally will pick the location based on the time of day and lighting. I have found several good spots. My neighbor has a good area in his backyard that is perfect for a baby or under 1.
DATES and TIMES. I wouldn't wait if I were you. They are pretty pretty much in bloom and as the day go on the patches will get trampled by the many bluebonnet models. I prefer weekdays as there is not as much competition for spots, but it looks like I will have a few times this Sunday and maybe Next. Sorry my Saturdays are full for the next few weeks. TIME...early evening provides wonderful light, but if you little on is a bear in the evening. That might be something to think about. Mornings have been a little cooler so don't come out in a sundress unless you have a jean jacket or boots to keep them warm!
Did I miss anything? More on our Easter Set early next week! Have a great weekend.
